Communications standards

Industry participants have worked together with the Money Management Institute to define message standards for communications between managed account sponsors and investment managers. The MMI message standards normalize the information necessary to fulfill client requests such as new account opening, contribution of funds, distribution of funds, and harvesting of taxable gains or losses, and help to promote consistency of process among all participants.

However, building the necessary forms, databases and workflow infrastructure necessary to take advantage of messaging standards is a daunting task for many industry participants. Without such technology, firms can't fully leverage the potential of message standards to provide straight-through processing. Firms are also concerned that the infrastructure they implement to support electronic messages be backward-compatible to support their existing stream of fax and email communications.

Peridrome's Dash workflow management solution includes the forms and database structures necessary to route received messages electronically.

Peridrome's Capture framework allows client instructions received by email, fax* and file transfer to be transcribed to electronic messages for downstream processing via Dash.
